Description
Val Genova: the Valley of Waterfalls
Val Genova is one of the most spectacular valleys in the Alps, famous for its extraordinary concentration of waterfalls. Stretching 17 km from Carisolo to Malga Bedole (1,580m), it was called the "Versailles of Northern Italy" by 19th-century travellers.
The valley features famous waterfalls including Nardis, Lares, Folgorida, and Pedruc. Fed by the Adamello Glacier (Italy"s largest), the Sarca torrent runs through conifer forests and granite walls. A summer shuttle bus connects the valley. Part of Adamello Brenta Nature Park.
