The Hermitage Suspended Between Sky and Mountain

The Eremo di San Martino is one of the most evocative and spiritual places in Carisolo and the entire Val Rendena. Perched in a panoramic position, this ancient hermitage dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours — the saint who shared his cloak with a beggar — offers extraordinary views over the valley and the surrounding peaks of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park.

The hermitage, reached along a path through the woods, preserves the atmosphere of contemplation and solitude characteristic of Alpine hermitages. Its walls hold traces of frescoes testifying to the devout frequentation of this site over the centuries, when hermits and pilgrims sought silence and prayer far from the world.
