The Evangelizing Saint Remembered in Tione

The Chiesetta di San Vigilio in Tione di Trento is dedicated to the patron saint of Trentino, Bishop Saint Vigilius, who in the 4th century brought the Gospel to the Alpine valleys and suffered martyrdom in nearby Val Rendena. This small church is a tribute to the memory of the saint who more than any other shaped the religious identity of these lands.
