The Chiesetta di San Gerolamo in Pinzolo is a small sacred building dedicated to Saint Jerome, the great Doctor of the Church who authored the Latin translation of the Bible, the Vulgate. This little church, with its intimate dimensions and position within the village, is a place of quiet devotion in the heart of Val Rendena.
Pinzolo, one of the valley's most important resorts, boasts a religious heritage of exceptional value. The nearby Church of San Vigilio in Pinzolo preserves the famous Dance of Death painted by Simone Baschenis in 1539, one of the masterpieces of Alpine sacred art. The little church of San Gerolamo completes this extraordinarily rich artistic and devotional panorama.
