Saint Michael the Archangel, the Celestial Warrior of the Trentino Valleys

The Church of the Dedication of Saint Michael the Archangel in Comano Terme celebrates the warrior archangel, a central figure in Alpine devotion and protector of mountain communities. The Michaelic cult, widespread throughout the Alpine arc, finds in this church a significant expression of the spirituality of the Giudicarie valleys.

The building's architecture reflects the Trentino-Lombard sacred style, with elements testifying to centuries of religious history. Comano Terme, a crossroads between Val Rendena and the Giudicarie, preserves in every hamlet places of worship enriched by the artistic work of the Baschenis painters.
