The Holy Child Martyrs Venerated in the Giudicarie

The Church of Saints Quirico and Giulitta in Comano Terme is dedicated to the mother-and-son martyr saints, whose cult spread widely across the Alpine region during the Middle Ages. The sacred building, with its architecture blending Trentino and Lombard traditions, testifies to the deep devotion of the Giudicarie communities towards these patron saints.

Comano Terme, a renowned spa town famous for the Terme di Comano, preserves across its territory a rich heritage of churches and chapels telling centuries of faith and sacred art. The area, between Val Rendena and the Giudicarie, was touched by the evangelising work of Saint Vigilius in the 4th century and enriched by the pictorial cycles of the Baschenis in later centuries.
