Vertical Campiglio — Uphill Race
The Vertical Challenge in the Heart of the Dolomiti di Brenta
Vertical Campiglio is one of the most exciting mountain running races in the Alps. Starting from the centre of Madonna di Campiglio (1,550 m), participants face an entirely uphill course to Passo del Grostè at 2,442 metres, conquering over 900 metres of elevation gain in just a few kilometres of breathtaking trail.
A Course Through Forests and Alpine Panoramas
The route initially winds through the conifer forests of Val Rendena, then opens up to wide alpine pastures with spectacular views of the Dolomiti di Brenta and the Adamello glaciers. The final sections, steeper and more technical, test even the fittest athletes while offering unforgettable views of the surrounding peaks.
For Athletes and Amateurs
The race is open to both professional runners and amateurs wishing to challenge themselves. Categories include:
- Competitive: for athletes with FIDAL licence or runcard
- Non-competitive: for all mountain running enthusiasts
- Youth category: shorter course for younger participants
Meeting point at 8:00 AM in the main square of Madonna di Campiglio, with start at 9:00 AM. After the race, all participants can enjoy a generous refreshment station at altitude and a free descent by ski lift. A unique experience to enjoy the mountains in a sporty and engaging way.
