Bear Trails — Hikes in the Adamello Brenta Park
On the Trail of the Alpine Brown Bear
Every Wednesday in summer, the Adamello Brenta Nature Park organises "Bear Trails" hikes, a unique experience that makes you feel like a real researcher in the places where the presence of the brown bear can be sensed. The hikes are part of the Life Ursus project, which reintroduced the bear to the Central Alps.
What Happens During the Hike
- Radio-tracking: experience the techniques used by Park staff to monitor bear movements
- Trace observation: footprints, claw marks on trees, droppings and other signs of presence
- Val Brenta: the main destination of the hikes, the heart of the bear's habitat
- Expert guides: accompanied by Park personnel
