The Biodiversity Day in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park is a special event dedicated to discovering the incredible biological richness of Trentino's largest nature park. On 22 May 2026, marking World Biodiversity Day, the Park opens its doors to hikers, families and nature enthusiasts for a day of exploration and environmental awareness.
The Adamello Brenta Nature Park
With its 620 sq km of protected area, the Adamello Brenta Nature Park embraces the majestic Dolomiti di Brenta and the Adamello-Presanella massif. The park hosts an extraordinary variety of ecosystems: from spruce and larch forests to alpine pastures, from high-altitude peat bogs to permanent glaciers, creating a mosaic of habitats that supports biodiversity unique in Europe.

The Park's Wildlife
The Adamello Brenta Park is famous for hosting the brown bear, successfully reintroduced through the Life Ursus project. Alongside the bear, the park is home to chamois, red deer, roe deer, marmots, golden eagles, capercaillies and a multitude of butterfly and insect species that make this territory a true paradise for naturalists.
Biodiversity Day is a unique opportunity to approach the natural world with the guidance of experts and researchers, understanding the importance of preserving alpine ecosystems for future generations. Participation is free but booking is recommended.
