Music Festival Day
Music Celebrates the Summer Solstice
On 21 June 2026, marking the summer solstice and the international Fête de la Musique, Val Rendena celebrates Music Festival Day with a day entirely dedicated to the art of sound. From the first light of dawn until late at night, professional and amateur musicians perform in every corner of the valley's villages, transforming squares, courtyards, gardens and streets into impromptu stages.
Music Everywhere, For Everyone
Founded in France in 1982 and spread worldwide, Music Festival Day is based on the fundamental principle of free access for all: everyone can play, everyone can listen. In Val Rendena, this philosophy is enriched by the unique setting of the Dolomite mountains, creating a magical and unrepeatable atmosphere.
- Concerts in the square in the villages of Pinzolo, Spiazzo, Caderzone and Tione
- Classical music in the valley's historic churches
- Local bands and folk groups performing traditional Trentino music
- Open jam sessions where anyone can join in with their instrument
- Sunset concert at a panoramic location overlooking the Dolomiti di Brenta
The Longest Day of the Year in Music
The summer solstice gives Val Rendena nearly 16 hours of daylight, and Music Festival Day fills them all with melodies and rhythms. From classical to rock, from folk to jazz, from electronic music to traditional alpine sounds, every genre finds its space and audience on this day of sharing and celebration.
Music Festival Day is a completely free event and a perfect opportunity to discover the musical talent of Val Rendena and Trentino, while enjoying the beauty and hospitality of this enchanting valley in the heart of the Dolomites.
